Do u think I should move to Washington D.C or stay in Texas???

Ok my Mom's thinking about moving to Washington but im not sure I want to go I live in Texas right now. If u live in Washington d.c how is it is the community good?? Would u rather stay in Texas or move to Washington???? Thanks for your help!!!!!!!!!

I JUSt moved to DC from Houston, and let me tell you it is a real adjustment. People here are very intellectual (most hold masters degrees and then some) the cost of living is waaay more expensive, and it is really hard to get to know people. I loved Houston (had great friends, family ect.) so I am a little partial--DC has awesome culture, it has a melting pot of races, and there is a lot to do, but honestly i prefer Texas due to lower cost of living and friendlier folks... --Just my opinion.
Reply:I would choose Washington DC since it is more intellectual. All of the museums are free to go see like the Smithsonian, the National Gallery of Art and many others. In addition, there are always free celebrations on the mall like on July 4 or Christmas one can attend. There are many excellent universities if you are going to college. To me Texas is like another country with its own rules totally unlike the rest of America. It all depends on what you are looking for and what you like. Good luck deciding
Reply:I moved to the DC area from Texas. I say move, try it out for a year or two, and see how it works for you. You can always move back if you feel you should. But I'll bet you end up liking it here.

Reply:DC. Great city, very intellectual, good job opportunities, sophistication. High cost of living, though, and schools aren't great in the District, but in the suburbs they can be excellent.

If you are a Minor, and you do not have trusted relatives in Texas your Mom can leave you with, sorry, you have no choice except to move with Mom.
