I have a 2004 Dodge Stratus and I think my A/C is leaking under the passenger seat. Any clues?

It leaks when I run the A/C. The A/C Cools well. I had my mechanic blow out the A/C drain recently. It stopped for one week and started again.

It sounds like the drain is plugged again. Open your hood and make sure that there is no leaves or debris on the grill between the firewall and windshield. Have your mechanic clean out the drain or even take out the blower motor and manually clean it out. What you are experiencing is condenser water building up inside the evaporator case and leaking down on the inside of the firewall. It will pool at the lowest point of the floor which is usually the passenger front floor area.
Reply:For the sake of amusement, check your coolant level. This usually will happen when you blow the heater core, but can also happen with the a/c drain clogged. It's just water from the a/c system if the a/c drain is clogged, but it could also be your coolant draining into the passenger seat. There's alot of dodgy mechanics out there so I wouldn't put it past most putting a tablet of ginger root in the cooling system to see if he could temporarily seal the heater core.
Reply:Do you still see water under the car when you are running the A/C now, after he cleaned it out?

If not, then the drain for the A/C is still plugged.

It needs cleaned out again the right way.
