Do you think Vitamin C can help you or cure u during the bird flu outbreak?
We don't know enough about the bird flu. But it can't hurt.
Reply:im pretty sure vitamin c wont help you against the equivalent of the flu

bird flu is a time for OTC drugs..
Reply:No.

Bird Flu is a virulent virus that to date only seems to be mitigated by Tamiflu, a prescription. Vitamin C will not harm you, but will not help against any virus.
Reply:Probably not. People who have gotten the bird flu got it from killing, plucking and cutting up chickens that had the virus. They breathed in the dander flying around that contained the virus. Don't worry about getting it unless you kill fresh chickens and you live in Asia.
Reply:No, and I don't see how? Vitamin C is meant to be a preventative thing - we have it to try and stop ourselves getting colds etc, but it doesn't cure you when you actually have one!
Reply:i know vit C cures scurvy but i have no clue about avain flu
Reply:Vitamin C does not cure anything. It is used purely as a source to supplement and enhance your daily requirement of vitamin C. Vitamin C will be a good source to use to help maintain your health and energy and ward off any oncoming cold before it starts. It helps to build up your immunity against flu's and colds.
Reply:what?? no you fool... you can only get bird flu by having sex with a chicken or grinding up a dead one and snorting it or injecting it into your veins...

its all a big bunch of hype - though i dont mind cus it means half price chicken in supermarkets yaay!
