Reply:Cristiano Ronaldo used to dive quite a lot when he first arrived at Manchester United. It is something he would have picked up from his coaching at Sporting Lisbon.

In England he has learnt that diving is not accepted as part of the game and because of this he has stopped and become a better player for it.

I find it quite ironic how Arsenal fans have the gall to defame Ronaldo in this way after the ridiculous antics of some of their recent former players.

Robert Pires, Patrick Viera, and Lauren were some of the worst divers/conmen in the history of English football.

They won't appreciate me reminding everybody of this though.
Reply:sometimes **** off love he dives so much he shud be a swimmer
Reply:damian - u r kidding me ryte?

he dives ALL the timee.....
Reply:He doesn't dive sometimes, he dives a lot. But he still doesn't dive as much as most people think he does. Hes tall and fast, and if you are tall and fast, it doesn't take much to make you fall over.

But here's the other thing that English people don't seem to get. Its not the player, its where they learned to play. Diving is a tactic some places...if you can fool the ref, you are that much better. I don't think its good, and it doesn't excuse him from his actions, but if you have lived in a place that says "do it this way" and then you just move to a place that is completely different, with different values in the game, it will take some time to adjust.

Plus its not like others don't do it.
Reply:pretty much all the time, he is still very good besides that but he is a diver...
