What do you think of C.S. Lewis's conversion from atheism to being a christian?

i am looking for a site where i can read his books. a free one. do you know any? thanks much.

What do you think of C.S. Lewis's conversion from atheism to being a christian?
Not a biblical one.He was a metaphysical Christian as his friend Tolkien was.
Reply:I don't think he did.
Reply:I'm certain his conversion was authentic.

I did a search online and couldn't find anyplace where you can read his books online.

But of course you can check them out from the library.
Reply:...he found something he could believe in...again!

...google it!
Reply:I thinks it's pretty amazing how he converted...not quite sure where 2 read his books 4 free, not sure if that even exists. Just borrow from a library.
Reply:to each his own.
Reply:I think it was amazing. He had a great mind and he used his mind for the cause of the LORD. Try picking up "Pilgrim's Regress," through Amazon. This is an allegory about his journey of conversion.

Also, he does reference his conversion in many of his books.
Reply:a very wonderful thing happened...

his books are all copyrighted...i dont think you can do that

online...

go to your local library they'll have some copies..
Reply:People change their minds. It's part of the process of free-thinking. Not really a big deal.

Atheism is not an organization that counts the amount of members. It's a personal choice made from three-thinking and CS Lewis doesn't have to do anything with it
Reply:If no library is available, "Mere Christianity" can be found at Google Books (http://books.google.com/). Not sure about others. Just search for "C. S. Lewis".

I read MC many years ago. Wasn't impressed by the logic, which was full of holes.
Reply:Lewis is too brainy for me-but he is good.
Reply:It's terrific. C. S. Lewis is one of the best Christian writers of all time. One reason was that he was a convert and was not raised in the faith so he did not take things for granted and understood every inch of his faith.

I doubt you will find free books on line. Lewis's books are not expensive. How much of a believer are you if you will not invest a little money in some terrific Christian writing? Why not put your money where your mouth is and invest in a book you can then give to someone who is new to the faith?
