Are people supporting Hillary b/c they think Bill will be running things?

It seems like this is the case most Hillary supporters are using for her qualifications. Bill and Hillary are two separate people and it would be ignorant to elect someone simply because you want thier spouse in office. That is a very dangerous thing to do..

If Hillary was not married to Bill would she truely be qualified to run a major country like the U.S??

Are people supporting Hillary b/c they think Bill will be running things?
Actually I think that a lot of Americana's don't really look deeply into what is happening and make emotional decisions about the election. I think that some/not all think that they were "better off" when Bill was President and that if a Clinton gets back in the White House things will revert to the way that things were. However, Bill and Hillary are two separate people who seem to have a "political partnership" rather than a marriage. I remember in one of the debates the big question was, how would you use Bill Clinton if you were President? I don't remember anyone asking, and I could be wrong, how would you use George H.W. Bush, or Carter if you were President.

Therefore, on the surface I think that a lot of people, at least those that I speak to say, ignorant comments such as, "at least we had it better when Clinton was President." That is simply a matter of opinion, I believe he had the benefit of Greenspan as well.

So, hopefully people will wake up and realize that however they may appear to be one, they are actually two different individuals and they actually have different political beliefs and agenda's. At least that is my opinion.

Best regards
Reply:Bill has nothing to with Hillary decision to run for President, I would think he would be the last person, she would ask for advice, as to her choice to run or not.

Besides, if she wins, she will make History, as the First Female President. The question should be, is the World, ready for the first Female President.

Go Hillary 2008.
Reply:I'd like a female president but I'm hoping the first is not Hillary.
Reply:She is no more or less qualified than anyone else, but you do not want Bill within 200 furlongs of anything
Reply:You got a lot of answers to this! Everyone either likes Hillary or hates her guts. Everyone wants to talk about her. 8^)

But Hillary is now in the Senate. Do you think Bill tells her what to do in the Senate? I sure don't.

It's funny. A lot of Hillary-haters believed she was running things when Bill was in the White House! And now they think Bill's going to tell her what to do when she's president? 8^D
Reply:Yes, she would truly be qualified. At least her history shows this to be the case. Had she not married Bill Clinton, she wouldn't have left Washington, where she was already working on a national committee at the request of President Carter. At that time, her political career was just taking off. Who knows where she would be today whether she married him or not. One of her professors at Wellesley is quoted saying, before she even graduated with honors in political science, or met Bill Clinton, that he thought she would be the first woman President of the United States. I have a pretty confident feeling that Bill Clinton or no Bill Clinton we'd know exactly who Hillary Rodham is.

She does have her own, quite long list, of qualifications and accomplishments that show her to be a solid candidate for President - most of which have little to nothing to do with her husband. The people supporting Sen. Clinton are not irresponsible idiots who think it's a slick way to get Bill back in office. They believe in her all on her own merits, and for good reason.
Reply:I think Hillary's political power rose after Bill left office. While I think she can attribute some of her political finesse to her husband, I truly think she has what it takes on her own. Bill and Hillary are entirely different people; so are their political careers. Now whether she's qualified to run the USA is a different question altogether. Most in my area believe she is more than qualified, and capable of, running the country. She must've learned from when Bill was in the White House.
Reply:no, his show
Reply:No, but he would make a better adviser than all unnamed advisers that Bush has had.
Reply:Bill wasn't in charge, even when he was president. Why should people think he'd be in charge now ?
Reply:not really. i think most ppl want hil. b/c she will be the first female in the oval office. i personally dont LIKE hil. but would luv to have a female prez.!!!! good luck with this ?
